St. Lawrence Technical Training Centre is providing technical education to the educated youth belonging to poor families of the district. It was established in the year 1978 with the recognition of government of Tamil Nadu and the National Technical Education Board.
Objective
To impart knowledge and skill training on various trades to educated youth belonging to poor families in the district with a view to facilitate them to avail employment opportunities.

Placement: On an average, about 70 per cent of the students secure employment in Government and private sectors and the remaining 30 per cent set up self employment ventures.
Future Plans
- Planned to start two more courses on Electrician and Computer trades in view of the good employment potential
- Efforts are on to obtain ISO certification in order to popularize the Institute.
